It is a complex wine, with notes of cacao, tropical spices, vanilla and
pepper, Kirsch, black fruit, such as blackcurrant. Powerful, with a long
finish, it is a characterful Banyuls with great finesse and beautiful tannic
textures, volume and a long finish that will transport you, while you taste
it, to the heart of our magnificent terroir.
Harvested by hand, the grapes are selected, then de- stemmed, before being
fermented in stainless steel tanks with a controlled temperature (25°C).
The grape varieties are often fermented together to increase the wine’s
complexity. This also reflects the mosaic-like qualities of our plots.

Located in the Paulilles Bay between Collioure and Banyuls, Les Clos
de Paulilles is an iconic estate whose wine quality is renowned all over
the world. Banyuls Grand Cru is sourced from brown schist terraced
terroir on 60 year old vines, ands best paired with the entire spectrum of
classic chocolate or red fruit desserts: Opera cake, Mogador macarons, a
revisited black forest gateau. But also, simply Grand Cru cocoa, or a good
book, or a cigar, or great company.
