and silky palate, with a long minty finish.
Berry analysis to decide upon the harvest date. Machine harvesting and
hand harvesting. Destemming. Pre-fermenting maceration. Fermentation
in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks at 23-28°C. Daily pumping over
and two rack and returns for optimal extraction. Long maceration of the
Syrah. Malolactic fermentation.

Mas de Lunès Grés de Montpellier 2016
Grés de Montpellier is the leading appellation of the Mas de Lunès,
the historical and emblematic estate of Vignobles Jeanjean. Here, the
estate lies alone in the middle of a 1000-ha plateau made of garrigue
(scrubland) and a few parcels of vines, where the sheep established a long
time ago. Our estate is a heaven of biodiversity : vineyards, olive trees,
truffle oak trees, bee hives, garrigue. It is organically certified and aged for
12 months: 50% in French oak barrels (25% new, 25% 1 year old, 25% 2
years old and 25% 3 years old), with the remaining wine aged in stainless
steel tanks. Best paired with venison meat or a veal tagine.
