The 2016 has strong tropical aromatics on the nose that continue onto the palate. With restraint and refinement on our minds, we managed the fermentation at cooler temperatures to preserve the acidity and freshness. A minimal use of French oak – only ten percent – adds just enough of the vanilla kiss to round out this year’s selection.
Made from lightly-oaked and unoaked Chardonnay to create a creamy texture with a toasted vanilla flavor, hints of ripe tropical summer fruit, and a clean refreshing finish.

After years of working in the wine industry in California, while continually searching for the right property to work with, we are proud and privileged to have partnered with a family-owned property which goes back more than one hundred years. Originally, the property was planted with more fruit trees than vines – but the passion project in the vineyards quickly upstaged the fruit in the orchards. For the longest time, the family simply sold its grapes to other vintners – though the family always wanted to make wine themselves. When the opportunity to purchase a large winery – across the street from the main house – arose, the family knew it made sense to acquire these production facilities and turn their amazing grapes into the wines they always knew they could make The History
